As many of us who reside in Cheshire, Connecticut already know, you don’t have to travel far or even out of town to get great pizza. Whether you need a pizza for a slumber party or want to grab a quick lunch, you can’t go wrong with these Cheshire Italian restaurants. For those of you considering relocating to Cheshire, you’ll find this list of my recommended pizza places in town to be useful.

Luigi, Ralph, and Tony own this Italian restaurant in Cheshire. After being in business in Cheshire for over 30 years, they know most of their customers on a first name basis. This makes dining at the restaurant very welcoming whether you’re alone, with a significant other, or with a group. Rossini’s is conveniently open 7 days a week for dinner, and several days a week for lunch. Everything on Rossini’s menu can be made for takeout. Hint: make sure you try one of their pizzas with clams.

Pop’s Pizza

For what may be the biggest (and best) meatballs in the entire state of Connecticut, head over to Pop’s Pizza in Cheshire. In addition to their meatballs and other Italian dishes, Pop’s also offers a great deal on pizza slices daily, each for under $2.00 apiece. Open from 11:00am-9:00pm Monday through Saturday, Pop’s Pizza makes for a great, inexpensive lunch or dinner option. Hint: for an easy dinner to make at home, pick up one of their Pizza Kits for $5.00.

For those who want options, Grand Apizza in Cheshire has you covered. With 10 different types of pizza sauces to choose from and an entire gluten-free menu, you’ll have a difficult time choosing what to order. There are literally dozens of toppings you can have on your pie at Grand Apizza spread over a very thin crust. Pasta lovers can choose their noodle and sauce combination, and there are several seafood, chicken, veal, and vegetarian dishes. Feel like staying in? Grand Apizza also delivers.
