Summer Fun at the Cheshire Community Pool

In the Cheshire summer heat, there’s no better way to relax than to spend the day at the Cheshire Community Pool. We are so fortunate to have such a great facility to use at our leisure when school is out, the days are longer and all of our Cheshire neighbors are outside and enjoying the summer sun. Luckily, the Cheshire Parks and Recreation Department has supplied us residents and visitors with flexibility and numerous options when it comes to taking advantage of the Cheshire Community Pool this summer.

What to know before you go:
The Cheshire Community Pool is open seven days per week from 6am-8pm Monday through Friday, 7am-7pm on Saturday and 9am-7pm on Sunday. Both lap swim and open swim are options every day of the week. Cheshire residents receive a special rate, as do Cheshire business owners and those who work at Cheshire businesses.

Purchasing a non-resident day pass is a great way for those in town searching for a home in Cheshire to get a feel for the welcoming community. Once you relocate to Cheshire, family passes, individual passes, senior passes and youth passes are available both seasonally and annually at a great value.

Birthday Parties:
If you’re lucky enough to have a summer birthday party to plan, the Cheshire Community Pool is very accommodating. Party-goers will enjoy two hours of fun in the water with either open swim or organized games for up to 25 guests. Lifeguards are always standing by to make sure your time at the Cheshire Community Pool is fun and safe.

Swimming Lessons:
The Cheshire Community Pool offers swimming lessons for children and adults of all levels and abilities. Parent & Child Aquatics for children ages 6 months to 3 years and classes all the way through advanced aquatic skills are offered at the Cheshire Community Pool. Two two-week long sessions remain this summer in a group setting, while private and semi-private lessons are also available.

Adult Aquatic Programs:
Sometimes the sun and heat can get to you while exercising outdoors in the summer. Adults can stay active and stay cool this summer at one of the Cheshire Community Pool’s in-water workout classes. Two options give Cheshire residents of all fitness levels the opportunity to get a great workout in the pool. The next session starts August 15th.

More hours of sunlight and the inviting, warm weather draw everyone in Cheshire out to enjoy the summer season.
