The summer months bring plenty of outings and events to look forward to in Cheshire. With June coming to an end and the 4th of July just around the corner, the fun has just begun! As your Cheshire real estate agent, I want to keep you updated on anything and everything Cheshire. So this week I want to talk about food and upcoming events. Where is your favorite place to get a bagel or ice cream? I have a couple ideas…and if you’re looking to take part in some fun this week and beyond, Cheshire and the surrounding area has got you covered.   

Eats and Treats: 

Sweet Claude’s: Some call it the area’s best homemade ice cream - I just call it good. After a softball game or just for a midday snack, cruise over to Sweet Claude’s for a cold treat. From ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet tofutti and special hot fudge, everything is made right on the premises and served fresh. If you have even the smallest sweet tooth, Sweet Claude’s will not let you down. 

Bagelicious: Cheshire Patch is taking votes for the best of 2012, and Bagelicious is one of the contenders for the area’s best bagels. Whether it’s your favorite bagel spot or not, you have to admit it’s pretty awesome. Get your bagels hot and fresh everyday at 7AM – get your fix quick, though. Bagelicious shuts down at 3PM daily, but serves great daily specials for breakfast and lunch you won’t want to miss. 

Upcoming Events: 

Business After Hours: This Wednesday, June 27th is Business After Hours. Bring one personal care item as a donation and head over to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry for appetizers and pizza from Pop’s Pizza and Rossini’s Restaurant. Admission is the price of a raffle ticket. Hope to see you there from 5-7pm! 

Sounds of Summer 2012: Free music festival in Hamden! That’s right. FREE. It was a good time last year so I am sure this time around will be no different. The event is happening July 15th starting at 2PM. Bring your family and bring your dogs because this is a family and pet-friendly event. Featured musical talents will be Parker’s Tangent, The Black Sheep, and The Benders Fe Fi Fo. 

Golf Classic: Register now for a fun-filled day of golf! The 28th Annual Cheshire Chamber Golf Classic is coming up July 23rd.
